McConnell Statement on Lt. Burman of Kentucky

WASHINGTON, D.C. – U.S. Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) released the following statement regarding President Donald Trump’s announcement of his intent to nominate Lieutenant Gary Burman of the Louisville Metro Police Department to be the U.S. Marshal for the Western District of Kentucky:
“I would like to congratulate Lieutenant Gary Burman of the Louisville Metro Police Department on being selected by President Trump to serve as the U.S. Marshal for the Western District of Kentucky. Lt. Burman will bring to this role nearly four decades of experience in law enforcement, including in multiple leadership positions. He clearly has the qualifications and preparation needed to excel. I would like to thank Lt. Burman for his willingness to continue his public service on behalf of Kentucky and the nation, and I look forward to the Senate confirming his nomination.”
