WASHINGTON, D.C. – U.S. Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) released the following statement today regarding President Donald Trump’s nomination of Robert Wier from Kentucky to serve on the United States District Court for the Eastern District::

“I commend President Trump on his nomination of Judge Robert Wier of Versailles to serve as a district judge for the Eastern District of Kentucky. Through his service as a U.S. magistrate judge, Robert has gained the qualifications and experience necessary to excel in this new role. I look forward to the Senate confirming his nomination.”
