WASHINGTON, D.C. – U.S. Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) released the following statement today regarding President Donald Trump’s intent to nominate Russell Coleman of Kentucky to serve as the United States Attorney for the Western District of Kentucky:

“I commend the president on his outstanding decision to nominate Russell Coleman of Louisville to serve as the U.S. Attorney for the Western District of Kentucky. Through his time at the Federal Bureau of Investigation, Russell gained a unique perspective on the challenges facing law enforcement, which will serve him well as the chief federal law enforcement officer for the Western District. I saw Russell’s talent and drive during his service in my office, and I look forward to the Senate reviewing and confirming his nomination.”
